This weekend I had terrible luck with any form of technology.
First Friday afternoon I lost internet connection, which I still do not have back in my dorm. I can only connect other places on campus. Bummer, I know. However, my Ipad is connecting to the internet just fine. Since I couldn't watch Desperate Housewives on my internetless laptop I decided to download the Netflix app on my iPad. But guess who's never updated her iPad and still has IOS 4? If you guessed me you'd be correct. And guess what app needs IOS 5? If you guessed Netflix, you're correct again. And guess what you can't update your iPad without...that's right, internet. So now I'm without a computer and without Netflix.
Then on Saturday I decided to rent some movies from Redbox since Netflix wasn't going to entertain me this weekend. I rented What to Expect When You're Expecting, Friends With Kids, and Joyful Noise. What to Expect and Joyful Noise were great! I loved them. However, Friends with Kids was just terrible and awkward. I actually fell asleep during the middle of it.
Just as I finished Joyful Noise I went to eject it out of my laptop and what happens ...its gets stuck. Its making weird noises and refuses to come out. Now I'm freaking out. After endless trying I decided to just leave it and come back to it in a few hours. Luckily, when I tried again later it still made the weird noises but eventually came out without a scratch on it.
Lets just say me and technology did not get along at all this weekend. And I didn't even mention the phone problems I had this weekend. Only 14 more days until I get that iPhone, thank goodness!
Do you have an technology horror stories?
